Okay – clearly we’re dealing with players who simply cannot be stumped by the historical photos …
But that’s more than okay because it’s a fun game and we love to see how people must love the city if they can identify the intersections we put before you.
Plus we love giving the gift certificates and knowing that we’ve provided enjoyment not just from the contest but from whatever the gift certificate provides you. Total win-win situation!
And speaking of winning … the winner this month is … Steve Bell! Way to go, Steve. You correctly identified the intersection as King & Spadina.
I’m going to do a write up on the historical photo and the current makeup of this intersection in a post tomorrow. So please tune back in everyone!
So Steve – instead of telling you what kind of gift certificate you’ve won – you tell us: what do you want a $50 gift certificate for???
And we’ll do this going forward with the gift certificates – because why should we decide for you if we can provide you with something you really want?

Congratulations to Andrina for winning the April Photo Contest! Way to go Andrina!!
And congratulations to everyone else, too, because every single person got this right.
Hmmmm … maybe we will have to make these harder to guess? You are all just too smart!

Congrats to Shelley Carrigan – she won the March photo contest!
The historical photo posted last Thursday for the March photo contest was taken circa 1959.
At the time, the hotel was the Edgewater Hotel. Here’s a cool photo of the hotel circa 1977 when the establishment apparently offered nightly entertainment.

We’ll do the next photo contest on Thursday, April 21st.
In the meantime, let’s hope this white stuff goes away and we can go back to enjoying Spring…

We’ll be posting another historical photo tomorrow – guess the location (intersection) and win a fun prize!
